The Royal Albert Hall will begin hosting full-capacity concerts again this summer with a performance by James Blunt.
The famed London venue will reopen from May 29 with a series of socially-distanced events before returning to a full house from July 6.
The hall, which was opened by Queen Victoria in 1871 and named in memory of her husband Prince Albert, has been mainly shuttered since March 2020, refunding more than £7.5 million of ticket sales.

Opponents of President Trump s climate rule rollbacks rejoiced yesterday after a federal appeals court gave the Biden administration a clean slate to craft a new rule to control greenhouse gas emissions from power plants.
A three-judge panel for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit tossed out the Trump EPA s Affordable Clean Energy rule and sent it back to the agency. The court found EPA had too narrowly interpreted its authority to regulate emissions.
Bob Mix was able to sing on pitch from an early age.
“When he was in kindergarten, the teacher recognized right away what a ham Bob was,” said Lois Mix, noting that as a result, he got to play the lead role of Peter Rabbit in a production.
“I was cotton-tailed,” Bob added.
He sang through middle school and high school in Austin, Minnesota, where he always felt his goal in life was to be a choir director.
Mix is the founder of Duluth East A’Cappella, and he served as their choir director from 1959-1987. He received the F. Melius Christiansen Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Choral Directors Association; he is a Luther College hall of famer; and an annual student award and scholarship at East is bestowed in his name.
