Abilene police stated in court documents that gang affiliations of two suspects may have been a factor in last week s stabbing and shooting of two men in north Abilene.
The documents reveal more details about a confrontation that occurred in the early morning hours of April 16 in the 2100 block of Burger Street.
The first officer on the scene answering a call of a fight in progress and possible shooting found a man bleeding from head to toe at the corner of Ambler Avenue and Burger Street. The victim had been shot and stabbed, the documents said.
Other officers found a second victim with multiple injuries, believed to have been stabbed and shot, lying on the floor at a residence, the documents said.

ABILENE A Waxahachie man is in custody after allegedly assaulting two paramedics sent to help him with medical issues, Abilene police said in a statement released Thursday afternoon.
Two gunshots reportedly were fired inside the ambulance transporting Michael Gaylon McMillan, 67, to the hospital after McMillan got up from the gurney (and) retrieved a handgun from his jacket, the statement says.
He will be charged with two counts of aggravated assault on a public servant, a second-degree felony, police said in the statement.
A homeowner in the 2400 block of Regent Drive called police at 9 a.m. when McMillan arrived at their door, claiming to be there to do work on their floor, the release says.
Abilene police arrest man who broke windows at woman s house
Abilene police arrested a man Thursday who allegedly broke windows at his girlfriend s house in an attempt to gain entrance, according to a police report.
The victim in the 1100 block of North 13th Street reported that she verbally told the suspect multiple times to leave. She also told him to leave via text, the report said.
Police dispatched just before midnight contacted the suspect outside the residence and took him into custody. The suspect admitted that he was not wanted inside the house and should of just left, the report said.

Abilene police arrest woman at park after hours on drug charges
An officer who contacted a woman in a public park after hours discovered a small amount of drugs in her vehicle, according to an Abilene police report.
The woman initially was contacted at the unidentified north-side park at about 3:55 a.m. Tuesday and told by the officer to leave the area. As she drove away, the officer received notification that she had a Jones County warrant for a charge of manufacture/delivery of cocaine, the report said.
The officer initiated a traffic stop of the 59-year-old woman at about North 10th Street and Mockingbird Lane. When the woman exited the vehicle at the officer s instruction, the officer saw a small plastic bag on the floor next to the driver s seat, the report said.
