BENGALURU: The State Government has changed its vaccination policy again. Two days after announcing that it would restart the vaccination process for the 18-44 age group, National Health Mission (NHM) Director Dr Arundhathi Chandrashekhar issued a clarification on Saturday that vaccines are currently not available and even identified frontline workers, vulnerable groups and priority members will be informed of the date and time of vaccination by nodal officers.

black fungus cases, the
Health Department has issued strict instructions that no hospital should deny treatment to those seeking medical assistance.
Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar said, “The treatment of post-Covid Mucormycosis or black fungus infection found in some covid cases requires a multi-disciplinary approach involving
ENT specialist, anaesthetist, ophthalmologist and maxillofacial surgeon. Mucormycosis is now a notifiable disease and no hospital or medical establishment having the capacity to provide treatment should deny admission of patients. An official government order towards this will be notified soon.

Mysuru (Karnataka) [India], May 5 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader H Vishwanath on Wednesday said Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has drastically failed to handle covid situation in Karnataka.
Speaking to the media, Vishwanath said, Yediyurappa is deaf and dumb. He cannot see. He does not have the presence of mind. He cannot see anything. His whole government has failed in managing COVID situation in Karnataka.
According to Vishwanath, only the health minister of the state Dr K Sudhakar is not at fault. It is not just the failure of health minister or Minister Dr K Sudhakar, it is the failure of whole government which could not properly handle the COVID situation and allowed people to die in Karnataka, he added.
