Bangladesh, Oman keen to expand economic partnership UNB, Dhaka UNB, Dhaka Bangladesh and Oman have discussed formation of a Joint Business Council as the two countries see huge potential for expanding economic partnership. The two sides at the first ever Foreign Office Consultation (FOC) held virtually on Tuesday also discussed possibilities of investment in High Tech Park and economic zones of Bangladesh. Both the sides agreed upon new areas of cooperation which includes maritime affairs, diplomatic academies, think-tanks and start-ups and desalinization. Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen led the 12-member Bangladesh delegation including representatives from the Ministry Home Affairs, Ministry of Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Armed Forces Division and Bangladesh Ambassador to Oman.

Malta s Hate Crime Unit Gave Nine People Free Legal Support To Press Charges

Malta’s Hate Crime and Speech Unit provided nine people with free legal assistance since it was established, Ministry Home Affairs revealed. Following a parliamentary question posed by Therese Commodini Cachia, the ministry reported that the unit dealt with a total of 63 victims of hate speech and hate crime. From this figure, 39 people received emotional support and eight were referred to therapy. Since it’s opening in 2018, 251 reports were filed with the Hate Speech and Crimes Unit. It found that 161 did not meet its criteria to constitute incitement of violence or lacked evidence. The Hate Crime and Hate Speech unit was set up in October 2019 to provide legal and psychological support for victims of hate crime.

He added, “There were some people in the party who were like asymptomatic Covid-19 patients. We tracked their activities and identified them. We are happy to get rid of such viruses who had betrayed the party in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. They have been sabotaging the party since the past few months. Recently, Saumitra Khan [former TMC MP] said Adhikari helped him win the Lok Sabha polls from Bishnupur seat on a BJP ticket in 2019. This goes to show how he betrayed the party. He was an asymptomatic betrayer.” On December 19, Adhikari joined the BJP during Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s rally in Medinipur along with nine MLAs, five of them from the TMC.
