The Indian Civil Society has lambasted the Narendra Modi-led New Delhi regime for its criminal negligence amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, arguing that the Indian government has lost its credibility to represent the people of India, and called for strong global political commitment to address the challenges in public health care.

India has set a new record for the number of deaths from coronavirus per day, follows from datapublished on the website of the country’s government.
So, according to the authorities, in the day before May 11, 4,205 people died in the country. Before that, according to information World Health Organization (WHO), the maximum number of deaths per day was recorded on May 8 – 4187 deaths.
The sharp rise in coronavirus cases in India began on April 1. So, on March 31, 53,480 new cases of the disease were recorded in the country, and the very next day this figure increased to 72,330 and has grown almost constantly since then.

Australia has barred its own citizens from reentering the country if they are coming from India.
Those who do return face up to five years in jail and a whopping R500,000 fine.

In one of the strictest border policies of the pandemic-era yet, Australia quietly announced Friday that any person who entered the country after visiting India in the prior 14 days, would be subject to jail time, a massive fine, or both - including Australia s own citizens.
