Synopsis
Britannia expects consumers to stock up over the next few months, akin to a year ago but production and back-end operations will not be impacted as manufacturers are better prepared this time around.
Britannia Industries has asked sales staff to refrain from stepping out even if distribution is affected in the short term in view of the alarming rise in Covid-19 infections, managing director Varun Berry said during an analyst call on Tuesday.
“We are actually asking people not to go to the market. We don t care if our distribution drops. We will work harder and build it back,” Berry said.
