The Renfrew County and District Health Unit is reporting five new cases of COVID-19 and eight additional resolved cases.
This leaves 48 active cases in Renfrew County and district – one person in intensive care, five people hospitalized and 42 individuals self-isolating. This is according to the May 13 case summary update by the RCDHU.

Since the May 10 case summary, there have been 14 new positive cases. The location of the new case is as follows: five in Laurentian Valley, four in Arnprior, two in McNab/Braeside and one each in Petawawa, Whitewater Region and Madawaska Valley. Arnprior and McNab/Braeside continue to be hot spots with 12 and 10 active cases respectively, while there are nine active cases in Laurentian Valley.

The Renfrew County and District Health Unit is reporting 19 new positive cases of COVID-19 today.
This is an increase of 27 cases since the May 6 case summary (May 8 and 9 – three cases each, May 7 – two cases). With 17 additional cases considered resolved in the same timeframe, there are 47 active cases – six people in hospital and 41 individuals self-isolating, according to the May 10 updated case summary. Overall 592 of the total 645 cases are considered resolved with six deaths attributed to the virus.

There are five current COVID-19 outbreaks in Renfrew County and district after the health unit declared two more outbreaks late Thursday afternoon.
On May 6, the Renfrew County and District Health Unit confirmed COVID-19 outbreaks at a private day care in Whitewater Region and Mobility Lab in Arnprior. To date, three individuals at the day care received positive laboratory-confirmed cases of novel coronavirus 2019 with the potential for more cases to come, according to a health unit release. The day care voluntarily closed on April 28 and remains closed until further notice.
