When season 20 of The Voice kicks off on Monday night, Burrillville s Jesse Desorcy will be the latest Rhode Islander to contend for a shot at musical stardom.
Desorcy is known on the local scene as the banjo player and lead vocalist for the country-rock act Back Rhodes, and he s also launched a solo project. In the band, he performs with brother Ed Desorcy Jr. on bass, Chris Quiray on rhythm guitar, Tyler Hill on lead guitar, Antonio Salvatore on violin and Jay Coutu on drums. They’re all very excited for Desorcy and wishing him luck.
“The only thing that’s better than having the absolute pleasure of playing in a band with my brother is seeing him realize his aspirations of becoming a successful musician and singer-songwriter in real time,” Ed said about his brother s audition on The Voice.
