Kashmir elections: Will seek India s help if admin fails to cooperate: says PML-N candidate

July 26, 2021 GUJRANWALA: PML-N candidate for the Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections from LA-35 Jammu-2, Choudhary Muhammad Ismail Gujjar, said Sunday he would seek India s help if the local administration does not cooperate with him. The PML-N leader was speaking to the media in Gujranwala near a polling station set up in Government High School No 2, where the deputy commissioner had allegedly kicked out PML-N and All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference’s polling agents. Following their exit from the polling station, the agents reportedly got into a heated argument with the deputy commissioner after which the polling process was halted there.

After losing elections, PoK PM Haider calls out slave mentality of Kashmiri people ANI | Updated: Jul 26, 2021 08:48 IST Muzaffarabad [PoK], July 26 (ANI): Raja Farooq Haider, the so-called Prime Minister of Pakistan occupied Kashmir, reprimanded the Kashmiri people for what he called their slave mentality after preliminary results of Legislative Assembly polls showed Imran Khan s party notching an easy win in the violence-marred elections. Having been defeated by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the polls on Sunday, infuriated Haider said the Kashmiri people are marred with the mentality of slavers for the past 250 years, Ary News reported. The PoK assembly has a total of 53 members but only 45 are directly elected. According to the unofficial results cited by Geo News, PTI won by a simple majority of 24 seats.
