Representational image  New Delhi: Life insurance companies may reject insurance proposals of Covid-19 survivors if they are proved unfit even after an insurer-imposed, three-month waiting period. For Covid survivors above the age of 60 the restrictions are even stringent, the Times of India mentioned in a report. Low-risk Covid survivors who report permanent organ damage may be charged an additional 20-30% premium.  “Applicants with medical history will be treated differently, like those with co-morbidity. Such people are already treated as sub-standard life categories. In some cases, unfit Covid survivors are treated on a par with those with co-morbidities and charge extra mortality,” the publication quoted Avdhesh Gupta, appointed actuary of Bajaj Allianz Life as saying.
