Mike Estes lands gig as Teton County Search and Rescue Coordinator

Mike Estes has a new job. The longtime Parks and Rec programmer will now serve as coordinator for Teton County Search and Rescue. He s volunteered for the rescue outfit for 28 years. Estes will take over from Jess King, who spent seven years in the role and left on March 1. Anthony Stevens served as the interim coordinator and will continue to volunteer and serve as Search and Rescue s Training Advisor. The transition comes with a few changes in the coordinator role. Estes primary job will be supporting the Teton County Search and Rescue Board of Advisors to make sure the team is rescue ready at all times. That will entail record keeping and organization, gear maintenance, and facilitating training, as well as coordinating communications between Search and Rescue and its partners.

Partying online with Pembroke Bridge Club

Pembroke Bridge Club held its annual Christmas party online DUE to coronavirus, Pembroke Bridge Club was unable to hold its annual Christmas party at the Giltar Hotel in Tenby this year. But, this didn’t stop the party going ahead, and instead of all coming together for the Christmas competition face-to-face, it was run online by Bridge Base Online. At the beginning of the day several members forwarded their Christmas party ‘attire’ photographs to the WhatsApp group, with the full Christmas spirit in mind. Sarah Amos, the national director welcomed nine full tables in play to last Tuesday’s ‘party’ session.
