Law enforcement has always been a family affair for Jason Love, the new chief of detectives with the Bergen County Prosecutor s Office.
His uncle, Kenneth Love, was a New York City cop. His wife, Cecilia, is a retired sergeant with the office he now helps direct. And his greatest influence his late father, Ronald Love worked for the now-defunct Bergen County Police Department before moving to the Prosecutor s Office, from which he retired in 1993 as a lieutenant.
It was little glimpses into his father s fascinating life an anecdote here, an overheard conversation there that slowly tugged Love down the same career path.
