BALLANTINE-ARMONAITIS April 5, 2021 at 2:40 AM CARLSTADT/HACKENSACK, NJ - Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced that an investigation found James T. Cox of Carlsadt murdered his ex-wife, 34-year-old Massiel S. Deoleo of Mahwah, NJ, and afterward committed suicide. On Saturday, April 3, at approximately 11:48 a.m., the Carlstadt Police Department received a phone call from a family member of Deoleo reporting her missing, stating that they were concerned for her well-being. The family member said the last person she was with was her ex-husband, Cox.
