The freshly churned farm fields of southeast Wisconsin are uncovering more than just dirt.
40-year-old Brian Schutzen of Bristol has been searching for arrowheads and Native American artifacts on his family’s farmland since he a kid.
One of his favorite places is his Aunt Penny’s field by the Des Plaines River; a prime location to find bits of history.

“The area was once inhabited by Native Americans going back as far as the Paleo Age when they would be hunting mammoths all the way up to probably the Woodland Age,” said Schutzen.
Schutzen says this time of year is a prime-time to find the ancient artifacts.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Adam Joseph Danko (Harley) on Sunday May 2. Adam was a kind, gentle soul who loved being around family. Adam was an artist and a creator, who liked to draw, create his own music and had a natural ability with photography. He also really liked trains, trucks, spring and fall when there are no leaves on the trees and travelling. He loved riding his bike around town taking pictures of trains, trucks and nature.
Adam was always polite and had a smile for everyone even though he suffered greatly from his arthritis from a very early age. He took the last train home and is free from pain. He will forever be in our hearts.
