Share this article Share this article OTTAWA, ON, April 8, 2021 /CNW/ - Yesterday, the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) released a full advisory committee statement on extended dose intervals for COVID-19 vaccines to optimize early vaccine rollout and population protection in Canada in the context of limited vaccine supply. This release is a follow-up to the rapid response statement on March 3, 2021, which recommended jurisdictions extend the time between the first and second dose of COVID-19 vaccines up to a maximum of four months in order to protect more people in Canada more quickly, saving lives and reducing illness while not compromising vaccine safety or effectiveness.
