David Schaen April 29, 2021 Khalil Saliba is an excellent choice for Lewes City Council on May 8.  Khalil, the son of a Beebe physician, grew up in Lewes and has a genuine dedication to the preservation of our town’s unique qualities.  As Lewes and surrounding area populations grow, it will be challenging to maintain the special character that is Lewes.  We will be best served as a community to have thoughtful, knowledgeable, and respected leaders such as Khalil at the helm.  Khalil currently demonstrates a selfless interest in the well-being of Lewes through his board member roles with the Beebe Medical Foundation and the Greater Lewes Foundation.  In the recent past, he has also dedicated his time to serve on the Police Department Review Committee and the Lewes Beach Parking Committee.  Khalil has a reputation for listening to all sides of issues and carefully crafting effective, yet reasonable, resolutions for the benefit of all Lewes residents.
