Idaho was most moved into state in 2020, GIFAR says
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Realtors are learning the Idaho housing market had one of the best years in real estate sales.
The Greater Idaho Falls Association of Realtors says more people were moving to Idaho than any other state last year.
Idaho Falls is also being recognized for its record-breaking year for in-market sales.
According to the Department of Labor, the city of Idaho Falls has recovered jobs and employment and is actually doing better than a year ago.
Realtors say the job market is one of the reasons why so many people want to move here.
A record low in homes for sale drives up the price to buy in East Idaho
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Be prepared to spend more on a house if you are looking to buy one in Eastern Idaho. The inventory has never been lower, President of The Greater Idaho Falls Association of Realtors, Chad Murdock said. When supply is low, demand goes high and prices go up. Our supply is very low and prices are skyrocketing.
The numbers Murdock is seeing are even lower than when the recession hit in 2008. We normally have about 400 to 500 homes on the market right now in Bonneville County, Murdock said. We have just over 40 single-family homes on the market. To give you a little more perspective, from Rexburg to Blackfoot, there are 127 homes on the market.
