Houston Group promotes Joanna Lilley to managing director

Joanna Lilley has been promoted at strategic brand and design agency Houston Group (Houston), from general manager to managing director.
Lilley has worked with several key clients during her time at Houston, including branding projects for Toyota and Ampol. Prior to joining Houston, Lilley worked at Droga5 and Moon Communications.

On her new role, Lilley said: “Working closely with clients as they navigate these pivotal moments has always been a personal passion so my new remit is a natural transition.

“I am also particularly excited about developing our Melbourne offer. Whilst we opened the Melbourne office in 2018 it has primarily serviced the needs of existing clients Toyota and Origin so I’m looking forward to broadening our team and reach down there.”

Botanica by Air Wick announces WWF Australia partnership

Botanic by Air Wick and World Wide Fund for Nature Australia (WWF Australia), in collaboration with the Australian Seed Bank Partnership, have announced a three year partnership to launch The Rare Bloom Project.
In response to the threats facing Australia’s native wildflowers, including drought and bushfires, The Rare Bloom Project seeks to preserve Australia’s biodiversity through a mix of proactive seed collection, germination trials, and propagation. The project will house 120 threatened plant species’ seeds in long-term conservation seed.
To launch The Rare Bloom Project, a new TVC from Air Wick aired nationally on the weekend. Created by Host/Havas, the campaign shares the story of Botanica by Air Wick’s goal to connect people with nature and help protect Australia’s threatened native wildflowers.
Apparent promotes Brook Miller and Candice Lombard

Sydney based independent agency Apparent has promoted Brook Miller to the newly created role of client services director. Candice Lombard has been promoted to another newly created role of integration director.
Miller joined the agency in 2012 as a senior account manager. Previously to working at Apparent, Miller worked at BMF and Euro RSCG. She has since been promoted several times over at Apparent. Her most recent role at the agency was group business director. Miller has worked with a variety of clients, including US-based Cisco, LinkedIn and VMware.

P.E.I. vet says isolation and testing key to stopping spread of strangles
A P.E.I. vet is recommending isolation and testing as keys to stopping the spread of strangles. Two P.E.I. horses tested positive last week, one at the Red Shores Racetrack in Charlottetown and another at the Shamrock Training Centre in Ontario.
