Pakistani Player Wins Gold At Tent Pegging World Cup Qualifiers in India
Pakistani player Imtiaz Hussain has won a gold medal at the Tent Pegging World Cup Qualifiers, a three-day competition that’s currently underway in India.
Rank-wise, Imtiaz secured 42 points in the individual Lance competition. Nepal’s Kepil won silver with 38 points, while India’s Jena bagged a bronze medal with 34.5 points.

In overall statistics so far, Pakistan is winning silver with 124 points and Nepal sits on bronze with 121 points. The Indian team holds the top spot for gold in the Team Lance competition with 126.5 points.
Besides India, Pakistan and Nepal, teams from Belarus and the United States of America are also competing for glory in the three-day competition. In this regard, the tournament rules reveal that out of these teams, only one team will qualify for the World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in South Africa in mid-2023.

Greater Noida, March 16 : India on Tuesday won gold in Team Lance competition with 126.5 points on the first day of the International Tent Pegging Federation World Cup qualifiers for equestrian tent pegging here.
The Indian team comprised Dinesh G. Karlekar, B.R. Jena, Mohit Kumar, and Sandeep Kumar.
Pakistan clinched silver with 124 points and Nepal the bronze medal with 121 points
Besides India, Pakistan, and Nepal, riders from Belarus, and USA are competing in the three-day competition.

Greater Noida, March 9 : World Cup qualifiers for Equestrian Tent Pegging and Asian Equestrian Tent Pegging Championship will start here on Friday. I am extremely pleased with the performance of Indian players at National Equestrian Tent Pegging Championship. We are confident of doing well at World Cup Qualifiers and thereby qualifying for the World Cup, said Ahmad Afsar, organising secretary of the national championship, which concluded on Tuesday.
The six-day championship had a total of 8 competitions including 4 single and 4 team events. The 61st Cavalry team won the Team Lance and Team Sword Competition and Haryana Police won the Indian File competition. In individual category Assam Rifles, Indian Navy and Haryana Police won gold medals.
