Sugar Factory American Brasserie, it s described in a release as a high-energy destination known for sweets that will open this summer at 1900 Cedar Springs Rd., aka the former Ruth s Chris spot near Dallas Love Field. Owner Charissa Davidovici is an ex-schoolteacher who founded Sugar Factory as a candy store-only in 2009 before expanding it into a candy store-restaurant combo. She says in a statement that the concept s larger-than-life goblets and photo-op walls provide an Instagrammable and interactive experience.

Initial assessments confirm more than 300 houses damaged after TC Yasa

Preliminary impact damage assessments from the divisions have identified damage sustained to more than 300 houses in the Northern and Eastern Divisions after Severe Tropical Cyclone Yasa.
The teams from the divisions were deployed to affected communities and villages last week following the aftermath of TC Yasa.
Government officials from Viti Levu have also been deployed as part of the 120 personnel deployment to Vanua Levu to assist in conducting the assessments in the North.
The team is in Vanua Levu and will begin with assessments and distribution of emergency food packs and non-food items today.

Food Delivery Service, Food Well Fiji is organising a food drive for families in Bua trying to recover from the devastation of Monster Cyclone Yasa.
Director Salote Malani Maiwiriwiri says most of their work involves getting supplies from farmers and fishermen and they deliver this food to everyone’s houses.
She says they are targetting to assist the four villages that always supply their fish which is Driti, Tavea, Yadua and areas around Lekutu District.
