The Sahitya Akademi awardee was discharged from the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital on May 7 after testing negative for COVID-19 Noted Assamese litterateur and journalist Homen Borgohain breathed his last on Wednesday morning at a private hospital here. He was 88.
The Sahitya Akademi awardee was admitted to the hospital after he collapsed at home. Doctors attributed the death to cardiac arrest.

Veteran journalist and Sahitya Akademi awardee Homen Borgohain passed away on Wednesday morning at a private hospital in Guwahati. He was 88.
According to reports, Borgohain breathed his last after suffering from a cardiac arrest earlier today. He had recently returned home after recovering from Covid-19.
