WINONA – The Winona Ruritan Club celebrated its annual father/son/grandson/great-grandson dinner Feb. 23.
President Rob Doyle Jr. called the meeting to order and led the singing of “America.” Vice President Homer Althouse gave an update on fellow member Rob Donaldson’s medical condition, reporting he is recuperating at home. A “Get Well” card was later passed around for friends and members to sign.
Althouse gave the invocation and asked everyone to keep Donaldson and his family in their prayers. Mrs. Gordon served a meal featuring meat loaf and mashed potatoes.
Secretary Lee Stamp called the roll of members with 16 being present. Each member introduced his guests for the evening with a total of 28 in attendance. Stamp then read the minutes from the January meeting and February Board of Directors meeting. Treasurer Bob Doyle Sr.’s financial reported was dispensed with for the meeting.

LISBON The Columbiana County Land Reutilization Corporation is awarding a beautification grant that specifically applies only to municipalities, school districts, organizations or any non-profit organization in the amount of $5,000. The application for the grant is available at lb.columbianacodev.org. The deadline for submission is April 1. Applications will be reviewed over the month of April. Three finalists will be selected and must present their prospected projects to the land bank as well as the land bank board. The CCLRC along with the board will select one project to fund. Crestview will stage ‘Sister Act’
COLUMBIANA– The Crestview theater program will present “Sister Act” March 19-21 in the Performing Arts Center. Show times are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $12 and can be reserved at www.crestviewrebels.org. Presale ticketing ends at midnight March 18. In-person ticket sales are 5-7 p.m. March 1-7 at the PAC. Reserve tickets may also be picked up and paid for at these times. All health and safety guidelines will be followed.
