Mahoning County Jr. Fair preps for 175th Canfield Fair
During its virtual February meeting, the Mahoning County Junior Fair Board discussed ideas and activities to celebrate the 175th Canfield Fair.
Members were advised that the annual flower sale would be an online sale only this year and orders will be accepted until May 1, 2021. The Junior Fair Board will be helping at the upcoming Junior Fair County Livestock Meetings and the Horse Symposium in late March to be held at the Event Center.
Election of the 2021 officers will take place at the April 15 meeting. The Junior Fair Board will meet again at 7 p.m. March 18.

NELSONVILLE, Ohio – Grant applications are now available for projects promoting economic growth in 16 eastern Ohio counties.
Applications are available through the Dale Hileman Legacy Fund at the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO) and may be found online at www.AppalachianOhio.org/Hileman. The Dale Hileman Legacy Fund plans to award up to $2,000 in grants through its second competitive grant round. Individual grant requests should not exceed $1,000 and must be submitted by Monday, April 5, 2021 at www.AppalachianOhio.org/Hileman.
The Dale Hileman Legacy Fund promotes economic development and growth, a cause that was close to Mr. Hileman’s heart. The Dale Hileman Legacy Fund supports organizations working to promote economic growth within the 16 counties served by Eastern Ohio Development Alliance, including Columbiana, Carroll and Jefferson counties.
