Fulton County Traffic Safety and Stop DWI recognizes grads | The Daily Gazette SECTIONS The Fulton County Traffic Safety Board and STOP DWI recently presented scholarship awards to two local graduating seniors.  The Antone “Tony” Ralbovsky Scholarship Award, presented annually to a student graduating from one of the Fulton county high schools, was given to Jillian Bazan. A recent Broadalbin Perth High School graduate, Bazan will be attending SUNY Adirondack with plans of majoring in Criminal Justice.  The Ron Hill Scholarship Award, funded by Elaine and Jim Hill, was awarded to Gloversville High School Senior Bradley Wisniewski. Wisniewski will be studying mechanical engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology this fall.

Frank Mario Giaquinto, 37, of Schenectady, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 3, 2021. Frank was born in Niskayuna, NY, on May 23, 1983, the son of Frank A. and Althea S. Giaquinto. He was a 2001, graduate of Broadalbin-Perth High School, received his associate’s degree from FMCC, then transferred to SUNY IT in Utica, NY. Frank was employed by Spectrum in Schenectady in 2007. He held multiple positions most recently as supervisor within the mobile customer service department. Frank enjoyed his work and was respected and loved by many of his colleagues. He was well known for his one-liners and antics during Zoom meetings that helped keep the mood light when needed.

Voters must submit absentee ballot requests directly with their district clerks by May 11 at 4 p.m. to receive an absentee ballot in the mail, or they can pick one up directly from the district clerk through May 17. The absentee ballots must be returned by May 18, the day polls will also be open for in-person voting on school budgets and school board elections.
