Man critically injured after stabbing in southwest Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) Fresno police are investigating after a man was stabbed in southwest Fresno on Friday morning.
Officers were called out to a home on Geary Street and Maud Avenue just before 4:00 am.
Investigators say two men got into a fight in the street in front of the home. One of them was stabbed in the upper torso.
The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Police say he was uncooperative with their investigation.
Officials say they re searching for possible witnesses to determine what led up to the attack.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) A 31-year-old man was arrested during a major drug suppression operation in southeast Fresno this week, resulting in the seizure of several illegal drugs and weapons.
Fresno police say detectives believed illegal drugs were being distributed from Fausto Pina s home on Chestnut and Butler Avenues.
Investigators say Pina was on probation for robbery and had an outstanding arrest warrant.
A group of officers started surveilling the house, and on Monday, they tried to stop Pina, but he ran away from the officers. After a short chase, he was arrested by detectives.
19-year-old shot in central Fresno, police searching for suspect
Fresno police are searching for the suspect who shot a 19-year-old man in central Fresno on Monday morning.

It happened at San Pablo and McKinley Avenues just before 1:00 am.
Officers say the man was shot in the upper body. He was taken to a Fresno hospital and is expected to recover.
Investigators found two shell casings and say the suspect was last seen headed for Blackstone Avenue. No description has been provided.
Police interviewed witnesses and looked for surveillance videos that may have captured the attack.
Officials have not yet determined a motive for the attack.

It happened just before midnight at Clinton and Valentine Avenues.
Fresno police say two men dressed in dark clothing fired several gunshots toward an apartment unit. Shell casings were found in an alley.
One bullet ricocheted off a parked car, and another went through an apartment window. We have several subjects that were inside the residence. When the shots were fired, we had several occupants come out and try to determine where the gunfire was coming from. That s when they observed a pair of individuals heading south on foot from this location, said Fresno Police Lt. Paul Cervantes.
