Thanks to a generous gift from the Feigenbaum Foundation, Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary’s Opening Doors to Nature capital campaign is within $50,000 of its $1,125,000 goal.
According to a press release from Mass Audubon, the $100,000 grant will help improve Pleasant Valley’s accessibility, allowing the popular wildlife sanctuary in Lenox to welcome a broader and more diverse audience for outdoor recreation and creative nature-based education programs.
Opening Doors to Nature supports construction of an addition to the sanctuary’s 18th-century program barn that includes accessible visitor amenities and outdoor learning spaces.

PITTSFIELD â Leaders of the Berkshire Museum hope to fully reopen this summer with new gallery spaces and a revamp of its second floor, fruit of a $3.5 million investment of proceeds from its 2018 sale of art.
With practical improvements already tackled, including a new sewer line, a nearly complete freight elevator and elaborate waterproofing of the historic 39 South St. building, the museum is moving ahead with work to transform its second floor, adding âpocketâ galleries, new restrooms, oak flooring and improved LED lighting.

Cohort members Kiar Holland and Charlie Nadler of Laugh Dealers also surprised the group by demonstrating their “digital impersonation” technology with introductions by famous people -for instance, a pretend Steve Jobs was the Emcee.
