Animal Kingdom Cast Goes Back to Where It All Began: Pilot Pool Scene

Animal Kingdom set to kick off in only a little more than a week, Deran (
Jake Weary), Pope (
Finn Cole) are looking towards a future that s Smurf (
Ellen Barkin)- free. But as the Codys look to reaffirm the family s seat at the head of a very deadly table, they ll face off with those looking for answers about Smurf s demise and others looking to challenge the Codys power. But the conflicts will come from within, too- with Deran, Pope, Craig, and J each looking to take the reins to lead the family into the future. But for this update, it s not so much about planning for the future as it is learning from the past. Following up on the previous featurette examining Smurf s season-ending death, the clip below finds the foursome going all the way back to the beginning- back to the pilot episode and scene that would set the tone for the series.

The Boss Baby: Family Business (PG) The sequel to the 2017 animated film features adult versions of the brothers (voiced by Alec Baldwin and James Marsden) being temporarily turned back into babies by a magic potion. Felix and the Hidden Treasure (PG) This French animated film is about a 12-year-old boy (voiced by Elias Harger) who searches for his missing father. Additional voices by Angela Galuppo, Holly Gauthier-Frankel, Eleanor Noble, Elizabeth Neale, Terrence Scammell, and Wyatt Bowen. (Opens Friday in Dallas)
The film is said to be focusing on women’s fight for equality in big wave surfing and based on Daniel Duane’s
New York Times Magazine article, “The Fight For Gender Equality In One of the Most Dangerous Sports on Earth,” and the four women
Bianca Valenti, Andrea Moller, Paige Alms, Keala Kennelly who are fighting for the right to compete in big-wave contests.
The four athletes have formed a powerful bond throughout the process as they surf dangerous spots including California’s Maverick’s and Maui’s Jaws while asserting their right to join the male-dominated competitions.
