The draft on lowering the retirement age was adopted in the second reading, Greceanîi said. The document was supported by 54 out of 101 MPs. The law will come into force on January 1, 2021. It implies a reduction in the retirement age for men to 62 years, and for women to 57 years. Women with more than four children will retire at 54.
