Polk County DFL prepares for ‘typical’ Earth Day event

On April 22, 1970, across America many folks went outside to do their part to end the worsening pollution of our land, water, and air. Some marched and protested with signs, some picked up trash along shorelines and roads, some held rallies for the earth, sang songs, and signed petitions, It could be considered the beginning of the environmental movement.
It was Senator Gaylord Nelson of Wisconsin who thought up the idea of an Earth Day to get folks motivated across the country to get the message out about caring for the earth in meaningful ways. One in ten Americans participated on that first Earth Day.
PF announces close of Plano purchase

Pure Fishing Inc., the worlds largest fishing tackle company, announces the close of its purchase of Plano Synergy Holdings Inc., effective today. As part of the closing of this purchase, Pure Fishing also announces it has closed the sale of Plano Synergys archery and hunting accessories brands to GSM Outdoors, a leader in the enthusiast hunting, sport shooting, and rugged outdoor market, also effective today.
Pure Fishing will retain ownership of the iconic Plano and Frabill brands to complement the companys existing footprint in the global fishing tackle market. Pure Fishing will also retain ownership of Planos storage and fall storage business, as well as the Creative Options and Caboodles brands. This strategic acquisition is the third for Pure Fishing in two years under the ownership of private equity firm Sycamore Partners.

When you take a stroll in a park, you talk and walk with those at your side. Which means, all day every day, Dorothy is talking to dogs. Today is going to be a good day, said Dorothy.
