After one person shot at a group of people at Zeiger Park and another returned fire, DeSoto is taking steps to increase police visibility with the hopes of deterring crime.
The city, in an announcement on Facebook, said it would be adding a “highly visible safety camera unit” to the park on weekends and over the next few weeks. Additionally, police will be posted at both Zeiger Park and Moseley Park whenever there are scheduled activities such as organized sports games and practices.
