Having shipped a record twelve systems in 2022, UK hydrogen refuelling specialist Haskel has doubled the amount of hydrogen refuelling stations delivered the year prior, according to the company.

The hydrogen-powered truck and bus manufacturer is leasing a 28,000-square-foot facility it has dubbed the Hyzon Innovation Center in the Chicago suburb of Bolingbrook. As part of their plans for the new plant, Hyzon is planning to expand the facility by an additional 80,000 square feet.

The hydrogen fuel cell-powered trucks, to be assembled at Hyzon’s facility in Winschoten, The Netherlands, will be manufactured in full compliance with local New Zealand requirements and the first batch of vehicles are expected to enter service in New Zealand by the end of 2021. Hyzon plans to have up to 1,500 fuel cell trucks on the road in New Zealand by 2026 as part of the agreement with Hiringa.
