The children of a woman shot and killed earlier this year have filed a civil rights suit against the city. They say they found no evidence that Yvette Henderson pointed a gun at officers after she ranned from a home depot guard who detained her from shoplifting. The family says henderson did not pose a threat to officers. None of the shots were in the front of her body. They were in her back and in her side. In a statement to abc 7 news, police chief maintained the officers were justified in shooting and killing henderson. Chp office is recovering tonight after his patrol car was rammed headon. A school in san lorenzo. Twice this month others who took their children to this school were followed and robbed at gunpoint afterwards. The latest robbery happened on monday. The man had just dropped off his daughter and returned home. Three masked men confronted him and stole his wallet. The victims wife who was home at the time saw what was happening and called 911 i can picture my dad space helpless and like not being able to protect his home and his family and it just kills me. The other robbery happened three weeks ago. In both instances the victims are asian. Investigators are looking into whether they had anything in common. Sunny today. A correctional deputy is accused of turning away a man who was confessing to killing his exgirlfriend. That suspect, hugo castro, went to the county jail on monday to surrender. Evenhanded a note to a jail employee about where to find the body. The deputy who was on duty reportedly told castro this was not the jailed jurisdiction and sent him to talk with San Jose Police without an escort.
