Chapter. [video clip] r are women are the key ou women are the key. [indiscernible] justice for women. [applause] good morning. It is an honor to stand before you on this is sort day, commemorating this historic day, commemorating the anniversary of the million man march. 20 years ago, the honorable minister Louis Farrakhan, and nearly 2 million men, from across the country joined to deliver one powerful message. We are strong when we stand together. Today, i stand on the shoulders of many men and women, civil thats leaders, activists have championed social justice. Oftand on the soldi shoulders dorothy, angela davis, rosa miller, and our. Wn, mayor marielle bowser all of these women have been champions, and continue to pay the way for us pave the way for us to stand here today. Unprecedented success of the million man march in 1995 was based on our ability to unite nearly 2 million men who stood together for one purpose. Today, men and women all stand together. That is our strength. That is our power. Together, we are strong. We did not get here alone, and no one can fight this fight alone. The issues that disproportionately affect some of us impact all of us. We all have the right to public safety, jobs, economic sustainability, education, justice, voting rights, and safe community. Now, hear me. Everyone deserves to live in safe communities. Communities free of gun violence. Communities where it twoyearold can play and her front yard without being struck a a straight bullet. Stray bullet. We stand today for justice, safety, and equality. Divided, we are weak. Together, we are strong. A million blacks, latinos, and whites today stand stronger together. We all stand stronger together. Thank you. [applause] this next person that is coming, im so honored to announce today and bring to the stage. She is the National Spokeswoman for the honorable minister Louis Farrakhan. Her name is sister ava mohammed. Sister mohammed in the name of the laws of the merciful, we give praise and thanks to h, giving us his prophets and messengers that when we go astray, through them, he leads us back to the right path. And the him for moses torah, jesus and the gospel, mohammed and the holy koran. I think allah for coming to us in the person of master mohammed, the messiah who are addicted christ, the honorable Elijah Mohammed. Im humbled and so honored to be here before you as a student and follower of their divinely anointed and appointed representative, the audible Louis Farrakhan. I greet all of you in the words of peace. In the holy koran, the lord of the world asked the question, lah whenyou deny al you are without life, and he gave you life . The audible minister Louis Farrakhan teaches us that when allah gives you a gift, you must accept it. He greatest gift is life therefore, we are divinely obligated to respect, protect, and defend our own lives, and the lives of others. You let no one take your life without a fight. Islam is a religion of peace. We adjust no one, but the holy koran states, fight with those who fight with you. It reads, there is life for you in retaliation. There is no species on this organism thating will not come to its own defense. Every species fights for survival. Insects, wildlife. It has only been a black men and women in america who have been called upon by our former slave ,asters to forgive and forget while we are being slaughtered. We are taking that no longer. We are in obedience to allah, his christ, and the nature by which we are created. What is the role of the women . Uggle of every species comes to the defense offer offspring. Her she will sacrifice herself to defend her children. She is genetically programmed to do that. When a woman does not stand up and fight for her child, she is other than herself. Allah that minister Louis Farrakhan is bringing us back to the knowledge of ourselves. Of anys no male species that will not come to the defense of the female of the species. He does not think about it. It is not in the intellect. It is at the core of his ng. When a man sees his woman under attack, it is his duty to come to her aid. Why . Because there is no life without the woman. B that arough her wom man has his mortality, his reproductive capability, and hise all, to express dominion to exert his dominion. He cannot do that without his mates. Today to stand up. Five black women in the month of july a loan were found dead in includingy of police, renata turner, and others, unnamed. We are here to say, you have adopted the last black woman off the streets of america, and taken her away. Show us her body. Committeded that she suicide. That is a modern day lynching. These people never change, and they never will. Go. S time for us to h has chosen the man, one man to lead us out of here the audible Louis Farrakhan. Allah bless us all. [applause] , one more time for sister ava mohammed, the National Spokesperson for the audible Louis Farrakhan and the nation of islam. I want to thank all of you for allowing me to be here to serve you today. It is time for me to step away from this program. I want to tell you that i cannot see the people who have gathered here. If you turn around, and look behind you, as far as you can see, our people have gathered. [applause] right. Shout out from the front to the back and give each other some love. Now, back over here, back over here. 35 and 40to call us years ol olds, the rising stars. I will tell you, the young man who will take us through the rest of this program is not a rising star, he is an already risen star. That is brother knowing Mohammed Nuri mohammed, student minister from indiana. Brother mohammed i bear witness to the irregardless that race, is but oner riches god. We bear witness to that one god. As a student of the audible Louis Farrakhan, i can never enoughlmighty god allah for his intervention into our affairs. We thank him for raising up his messiah, the most audible unless a mohammed. In this hour, we know that we would not beget other here today 15 were it not for the honorable minister Louis Farrakhan, our champion. , brothers and sisters, and i wish you could see what i could see. Endustry terms, we are mild ep today. We have come together because we are sick and tired of being sick and tired of scrolling down our timeline of instagram, twitter, or facebook, and every other day, we see a young black nail murdered by the ku klux klan. I said that ku klux klan. We came today to tell the United States government and the wicked white oligarchy at the top of this power structure that we love our children the same way you love your children. You cannot kill him and with a bag of skittles en and a t, and ea, and get away with it. You could not lay your knees in the neck of a little black girl, and do away with it. We came here to tell you the black lives matter to us. Talk about will be the struggle against the power structure, the first thing the you know,ay is black folks are killing black people too. That is the truth. That is why we are fighting the war on two fronts. Today against White Supremacy, but we are also up against a special type of negative that we do to one another. But there is a difference. When ray ray kills tyrone, ray ray gets life in prison, but when an officer kills tyrone, he does not go to jail, he gets administrative leave. Is that the truth . I count is set up, and crackers like him donate millions of dollars to him. We have to stop this madness, brothers and sisters. We havetoday, as gathered for the supreme cause of justice, what . Justice . We know we would not be here if it were not for the host who put the first million march together, mayor marion barry, mayor for life, of washington, d. C. Out of our love and respect for this wonderful brother, it is an honor and privilege to present andou, his honorable wife brother christopher barry. Let us receive our brother and sister with a warm round of applause. [applause] mrs. Barry it is a great honor to us to give the salute to my husband and christophers father. Rose from a sharecropper to become one of the most popular, iconic figures in american history. R terms for terms fou as mayor, he became known as what . Mayor for life. As the first coordinator of sncc , the student nonviolent coordinating committee, he interfaced with leaders such as. Artin luther king as a public servant, he literally change the landscape of washington, d. C. E is responsible for many black millionaires. Not only did he create millionaires, but he created some selfproclaimed billionaires. Negotiated with poland to open up the Washington Wizards Basketball Team at the verizon center. We see all the goodness of going up in washington that has transformed the city into a bustling, thriving metropolis. Serves thehe boldly last among us. At a time would like a black violence was on at a high, the called Louis Farrakhan for atonement, responsibility, and reconciliation. Marion barry made all of the City Services available. He helped organize the march. He made leave possible so that d. C. Employees could attend. Without marion barry, the million man march could have never happened. Of my father, merry berry, im here to stand with minister farrakhan. Audible minister has called for 10,000 fearless warriors to go into the black community, and reclaim the lives of our lost youth. By the end of this month, over 6000 of our brothers will be reentering our community, released early from prison. Let them begin their journey to Reenter Society by answering the. Inisters calls all across this nation, use violence is on the rise. What is really occurring is the rise of the young generation. What is different from this generation they are not like the generation of the 60s, who organized the march, or my generation, who expressed our frustration through music. This generation, they expressed their frustration through violence. Let us recommit our struggle in showing them a better way of living. Instead of banking, lets get banging, nstead of lets get them saving. Barry on mar marion the 20th anniversary of the million man march. Thank you. [applause] yall can do better than that. Give them another round of applause. [applause] great presenter that we have coming to the podium is a man that we like to affectionately call, the attorney at war. That is none other than the great benjamin crump. Lets receive our brother with a warm round of applause. Benjamin crump. [applause] crump i am the president of the National Bar Association, the largest association of lawyers of color, representing the issues, concerns, and opportunities of 66,000 black judges, and legal professionals in america, and beyond. Is theme this Year National bar united, preserving our legacy, protecting our future. Isnt that what we are really here for . To protect our children, protect our future generations to come. That is why i am here on my birthday, with my children. I reminded when i was here 20 , ars ago, a 25 years old thirdyear law student, and i, like the rest of america, listen from the words minister Louis Farrakhan. Today marks an opportunity for us all to come together to achieve a common goal. The common goal to make america, in which we live, a better america. Today is not just the 20th anniversary of the million man march. Oday is not just my birthday on the same day of the million man march, a boy named Kendrick Johnson was born in georgia. Schoolents sent him to with a book bag, and he was the nextin a body bag day. Only expectation that his parents had been given is unbelievable, inconceivable, and income principle incomprehensible. Got stuck in ahe and and suffocated, died. I want a moment of silence to show to his parents today that he is still alive in our hearts, and we are committed to achieving justice and those responsible are held accountable. A moment of silence please. Thank you. Accountability, isnt that what all the parents want . It makes me think about the parents across america. I think about trayvon martin. I think about Michael Brown, who was killed in ferguson, missouri. Rice, whoout tamir was killed in cleveland, ohio. I think about alisha thomas, killed in los angeles, california. I think about jordan davis,. Illed in jackson i think about oscar grant. Garner in staten island. Walter scott, north charleston, south carolina. Sandra bland, texas. I even think about monroe 107yearold grandfather executed by the Arkansas Police department. What all these families want, what our entire community wants, what we demand is truth and accountability. Yesterday, the president of the National Bar Association as the president of the National Bar Association, ive met with loretta lynch. We talked about accountability across the board. That means more than just simply counting us when we are put in jail, when we are charged with felony convictions. When our children are charged as adults, and incarcerated to support the prison industrial complex. True accountability means also holding those accountable when illegal acts like shooting our brothers and sisters in the back, putting them in lethal chokehold, and in their lives well before their time. We want that in the database too. In conclusion, black people, we need your help too. We need your votes to count not just at the polls, but also in getcourtrooms, so when you those jury summons, dont throw them away and ignore them. To come up with an excuse just to get out of jury duty. When we go into a courtroom, those black lawyers dont want to be the only thing black with the client in the room. What we want to see is a jury of our peers. Lets mark this 20th anniversary of the million man march as a movement because black lives matter. Black lives matter. Black lives matter. Thank you. [applause] i told you he was an attorney at war. The next brother we will bring up is another one of those revolutionary attorneys. He also serves as the National Secretary of the nation of islam. Please perceive, with a warm round of applause, our brother, brother mohammed. Lets look omar brother. Lets welcome our brother. L, i bear name of ala witness that there is no god butt allah. I would like to thank the Louis Farrakhan for allowing me to serve. When i came into the nation at 19, at morehouse college, i was determined to be an attorney. I have been an attorney now for 17 years, and i have tried cases in many states. The greatest case i ever tried was a case of police brutality. We lost that case. Listen to the facts. Before there was a freddie gray in baltimore, who died in police custody, there was a fred grady in chicago, who died in police custody. This was mr. Gradys mug shot when he got arrested. You can see him. There is nothing wrong with mr. Grady. Three hours later, in police custody, this is what he looked like. Now watch the inJustice System come into play because when the paramedics got there, they said, is to grady was already they said mr. Grady was already turning colors. There was no blood in his cell whatsoever. Got there, they filled out a report that said he died from a heart attack. The problem is they had not been autopsy at, so as the trial started going on, we started doing depositions. There were witnesses that said things that were damaging to the police case. When i went back to read the transcript, the Court Reporters had deleted it from the transcript. When we went to trial and the jury filed with the police, we presented the case to the Justice Department and the Justice Department said that was not enough evidence to prosecute any police for killing mr. Grady, we have all gravitate we have all gathered here today to call for justice because we the god of justice never sleeps, so it does not matter whether or not we get any redress of our agreements and the court system because the god sees our pain and he knows what we are going through. Just know that we are not ordinary man,ny we are listening to a man of biblical proportions. A man whom the profit sought thousands of years ago coming in this day and time to address the pain that nobody else has been able to address, so when he comes, receive him like the man that nobody else could call all of us together. Thank you, all. May god continue to bless you. [applause] the next is one of the brothers that represents the group that has been optimized and organized for many wars that the wicked, ged by most of the time for an just means. This is our brother that represents the veterans for justice, please, receive at retired veteran and Community Activist brother robert. [applause] greetings and citations, ive veteran brothers and sisters and their families. I greet you on behalf of the service of all of us and demand justice. Not only that, but we need andice for our young people can they have just as if they live in the District Of Columbia and did not have the right to vote . If you support veterans, if you believe in justice, if you believe in dignity and human rights for everybody, then you cannot deny statehood to the District Of Columbia where veterans live but cannot vote. Be for justice and equality if you do not support the right of veterans who was their lives every day and sacrifice around the world so that everyone here can live and walk in peace and harmony if you do not support justice for veterans and the District Of Columbia. Full representation in the house and senate, statehood for the District Of Columbia, and i am thankful we have a mayor who is kind and commits to ending homelessness for veterans. Thank you. I am grateful we have Michelle Obama who is counting on businesses to hire our veterans. Wed to give those to need to give them a round of applause because of knowing stands for veterans [indiscernible] thank you. Lets get our soldier a round of applause writing for the new cause. Beautiful sister representing the return citizens for justice. You all know who that is. Coming back home to serve god and her people, lets receive sister andrea with a round of applause. I bring with you greetings from the presence across this country. I brothers and sisters who join us from inside the walls who refuse to eat, purchased from the commissary, standing together who have put their feet down today to stand with us today and to make us understand the importance of recognizing what incarceration has done to us across the country. We have had an 800 increase in the incarceration of black women in this country in the last 20 years. We stand today to set to raise our voices as incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people to help us know that we have got to bring an end to mass incarceration. We have got to understand that mothers are being separated from their children. We have got to understand that while in those prisons, women are reduced to a number, stripped naked, groped, and videotaped, and too often raped and exploited by male prison guards. We have got to understand that in prison across this country, when women are pregnant and incarcerated and give birth, they are shackled one limit to a bed. One limb to a bed. What kind of country luxe the mothers in faraway prisons for the duration of that childs childhood and denies visits from their children and loved ones . What kind of country incarcerates entire families, two generations and three generations of women from the same family, leaving all the trusted adults incarcerated and taken from the children . What kind of children incarcerates every single trusted adult in the household . Myhave answered that, people, with complete silence. What kind of community allows for our women to be taken and respond with silence . As formerly incarcerated women and men, we are coming for our sisters and their brothers. We are organizing ourselves of across this country. Do you hear me, brothers and sisters . We are coming. Do you hear . We are coming for our grandmothers and our brothers. Band with us it is important in the community and the nation. [applause] throw them hands up. Beautiful, beautiful. Brothers and sisters, every time the minister Louis Farrakhan writes a letter, he always opens it up and says, made the letter find you in the best of health and spirit. It must be something important about those two in social thats twosensual essential ingredients. Lets receive our brother with around of applause. In the name of a law in lah, i bear ala witness that there is no god to came to us in the presence other than mohammed. We thank you for raising among us the most honorable Elijah Mohammed. We are indebted to him that he would give us a leader, teacher, and champion in the honorable mr. Minister Louis Farrakhan. It is in their names that i greet you, my beautiful family. Brothers and sisters, i am here to bring to you some Vital Information that has happened to our community and it has not been brought to the attention of black people throughout america. Kennedy,hs ago, bobby the son of robert kennedy, met with me in los angeles to give me some shocking and revealing, and i mean terrible information, on what is going on at the center for Disease Control in atlanta, georgia. It has been brought to our leadtion that the Senior Scientist for the center of Disease Control has admitted that the mmr vaccine and many other of the vaccine shots have been genetically modified to attack black and latino boys. I do not think you have heard me. We are living in a wicked time where we are villains with the spirit to looking this in high places and the pharmaceutical industry alone with the medical American Association have found during the children of israel when it was time for them to make it makes it, pharaoh said, let us kill all void babies to year old and under. Now they are trying to force vaccines on baby boys before they are three years old. This is what minister Louis Farrakhan said we are going to do. On the 24th and 25th of this month, 25,000 of us are going to march on the center for Disease Control in atlanta, georgia, and we are going to say not another taxing on our watch. We wont let somebody pompous up with viruses. It is time for us to stand up, so take this information as i exit. Ctruth. Org and on the 24th and 25th, we need you in atlanta, georgia, with honorable minister Louis Farrakhan will be leading us to march against the center for Disease Control. Thank you and look up more information on this heinous act by our government. Beautiful. Soldier facest know why Elijah Mohammed talks about two different types of creatures, when he called a negro creature and other be called a black creature. Negro creature, he always had something negative to say because they are normally the operators of the enemy, but a black creature he always spoke favorable of. When you look at this rather who has been on the forefront as one of the national coconveners for the justice or cost of may, he is not a negro preacher, this is a revolutionary black preacher of the great disciples of jesus. Please, help me to bring to this podium the reverend jamaal bryant, the Senior Pastor of Department Temple ama. Temple ame. Lets for him on with a round of applause. Jamaal bryant i bring you greetings in the name of jesus christ and every tongue must consent. If there are any bornagain christians, will you give god the praise it now. We stand not just by ourselves but you can see further when you stand on the shoulder of giants. I want to welcome to this commemoration, the family of those who have lost their loved ones at the hands of aggressive policing and a militarized police source. You help me warmly welcome the father of Michael Brown who comes to address you know . Give him a big hand as he comes. [applause] [piano playing] how is everyone . Peace and love. The family just once to thank everyone for our support. Farrakham forank inviting us here. [indiscernible] that is the only way we can get strong treat all of this. Introduce our originator of hands up. Assalamu alaikum. Hands up hands up i cannot hear you. Hands up allnt to thank you first of , i want to thank minister Louis Farrakhan. A round ofhim applause. [applause] thank you, i am sorry. Will you help me celebrate and salute the family of our dear sister sandra bland. Make some noise as they come now. [applause] good afternoon. I greet you on behalf of the family of sandra bland. My name is sharon cooper, one of the older sisters of sandra bland and i stand in the gap for my mother. I am standing in the gap for my older sister, standing in the gap for my little sister, and standing in the gap for my baby sister. The biggest message i want to leave you with is the world has shown us that we have to control our own narrative. I want to thank you, say thank you to those of you who are here, especially the nation for acknowledging us. If i could ask you to do one thing, can you say her name . Sandra bland thank you. [applause] for our generation, she is considered the rosa parks of the hiphop movement, the one who really kick us off for this new movement to get us started. I needed to make a thunderous applause all over for the sister of columbia. Call me salute the mother of trayvon martin, miss Sabrina Fulton, as she comes now. [laughter] [applause] good afternoon. I just want to let you guys know that a lot of times we think this is all about civil rights, but this is about human rights. This is about as knowing that we human, that wea have feelings and family, too, and that we will not continue to stand by and not say anything anymore. That we will speak up and speak out. That god is watching what is going on and i think the families that are standing here before me that do not hold your head down. And think your childs life has been lost in vain. Your child was not the person that shot and killed someone else. Your child was murdered. Needs toons mother hold their heads down. They birthed a murderer. Stand up for who you are. Stand up for what has happened and continue to speak out. God bless you all. [applause] note that 20ing to years ago, when it was that we assembled on the same place, a time that america had to come to a screeching halt because they were not used to seeing the picture of strong, was billion resilientstanding black men standing in allegiance. Give an overwhelming applause to every black man around you for their strength and resilience. [applause] my dear friends, we would be longer along if we had brought the system what this and i am thankful for sisters are standing with the brothers today. We make noise for the beautiful black women who are here standing . [applause] assembled,o when we we were not asking washington for anything. We were coming for atonement for ourselves, taking personal spots ability. Note signed contract, but there was a covenant for men who had the conscience. Immediately, the enemy knew he was in trouble because there was power and unity. There was nothing more dangerous than a formally suppressed demand who had come formally oppressed man who had come to his own mind. To apply, how you how adversarial forces show their hand. In the last 20 years, the enemy was nervous the cousin but we did 20 years ago. For the last nervous because of but we did 20 years ago. Over the last 20 years, they have robbed inner cities of fresh vegetation. Over the last 20 years, they private ut them in they have funded private institutions but have not funded private education. They have been trying to criminalize the young black youth. They try to hide the truth in the textbooks. For 20 years, since we tried to rock the boat, they have been trying to hide the boat. It is important that we come to washington, d c, because behind me you see the are working on the roof but we came to work on the foundation. Something is wrong with america, and we came to fix it. Appearing almost as a move of god as we begin to converge in baltimore and cleveland. On this very week, the department of justice made up in their mind that they did something wrong. And iner sentence, number sentencing, they made up their minds they will release 6000 prisoners from the department of correction. To did an amazing way, for the strength of our brothers and sisters who are the prisoners of the war on drugs, would you give god praise for those who are incarcerated . And i want you to shop for those who are reentering into society. And i want you to shout for those who are reentering into society. [applause] to november 2, the largest number of x offenders are walking out of prison. This is the very first time that we will see triple down work in our favor because when they walk out, they are walking out and we are walking out everywhere. We are walking out of those who do payday loans, we are walking out of banks that will give us [indiscernible] but will not give us alone to start a business. We are walking out of establishments that do not give us the dignity that we deserve. We are walking out the playing politics, of collective people who look like us but do not think like us. We want to get a warning to every person who was running for president if you cannot say black lives matter, you are not qualified to run the United States of america. There is an army of one Million People and we must be registered to vote. We must have an economic entity, and we must have a principle. We did not come as beggars, we came as partners because if it were not for black people, there would be no america. I came to speak the name of the man that matters. His name is jesus christ and he riseounded transgressions, up, black people, accomplish what you will. It is our time now. This is not an event, it is a movement. We have got to do it. Come on, black people, make some noise. Black empowered time. [applause] give it up again. Time, when we talk about justice or else, the people that i am bringing makeup the courthouse. Make up the or else. They come from groups like lack lives matter, hands up united in ferguson, missouri, the activists that handle the business on the street every day. Carmen perez, the executive director of the gathering for justice, and tori russell of hands up united in ferguson, missouri. Black lives matter here. Black lives, they matter here. Black lies, they matter here. Black lives, they matter here. Assalamu alaikum. My name is selena abdullah, i am an organizer for black lives matter. I want to thank minister Louis Farrakhan for having us and all the struggle he has them for the liberation of black people. I am honored to be among those of you who have struggled for a decade. I am honored to be a miss those of you honored to be among those of you who were here 20 the march. Or black lives matter is a growing movement, not a moment. Just over two years ago. The night that George Zimmerman was acquitted in the murder of our son, our brother trayvon martin. Our brothern, recognizing that it is Sabrina Fulton and tracy martin who birthed him, just as mike brown of andthe son Andrew Joseph junior is the son of Andrew Joseph senior and my cousin deanna hardy joseph. Hours. E all ours. Hours it is not biology that dictates relationship, it is spirit. Jones, isnd, radel that henderson, brother africa, megan, and so many others are not individual assaults but collective ones. Black people are killed at least every 28 hours. We are under siege, all of us, pulling our pants up to save us. Our College Degrees will not save us. Middleclass status will not save us. Us, and thed war on worst thing we can do is to act as if we were at peace when we are really at war. And lives matter is a rally cried. It is not for us, for them, for is for us. T black lives matter is a recognition that we have all we need within us to win. It is an accepted of our duty to fight, to refuse to be victims, and except as that we are rebels, we are warriors, we are the daughters of god, harriet tubman, and the sons of that turner. Nat today is a watershed movement. Today is the day we step out deliberately, consciously, and confidently onto the battlefield, and we have two charges. One, to radically interstate love ourselves. And two, to commit ourselves to the war that will dismantle the system of white supremacist patriarchal capitalism. That is what or else means. Or else means we will no longer folks the murder of our as unintentional, it is by design. Things will radically change and they will change now. It is our duty to fight for freedom. It is our duty to fight for freedom. It is our duty to win. It is our duty to win. [indiscernible] good afternoon, brothers and sisters. I am humbled to stumble or you today. I wish all of you could be appeared to witness a sea of beautiful faces, represent people from all walks of life and nations. All here for one mission and one purpose, to demand justice or our people. Henrirs ago, my mentor bellefonte, was watching the news when he saw the video of a five year old black role in florida, handcuffed and sent to jail for throwing a tantrum in her classroom. Five years old, imagine that the new child. Happening in communities all over our country. The river of blood that flows through the streets of our nation flows mostly from the bodies of our black men and children. As we stand here today, we can commit to stopping that river. Two years ago, i cofounded Justice League n. Y. C. Brothers andlack sisters, i called my left the note allies, i called my muslim sisters and brothers to the called latino allies, i my muslim sisters and brothers to the table and we created a multinational movement. I come here today as a mexicanamerican woman, proud chicana, to join with you and voices loud and clear and say we have had enough. We are still fighting. This has to and. This will end. 20 years from now, we will stand here again and we will stand in victory. We will stand here celebrating with our heads up high and are this up in the air saying and celebrating our liberation. If we do not get it, we must shut it down. If we do not get it, shut it down. If we do not get it justice. Si se puede. Thank you. Can you all hear me . I come from a place that is forgotten about. Nothing but an afterthought. I come from a place that People Struggle every day. We talk about justice, you are looking for economic justice, social justice, environmental justice, international justice. I am not waiting for nothing to fall out of the sky. Im not waiting for your national hashtags to come save me. Im going to do the same thing [indiscernible] did. Thinging to do the same percy did. If you dont know their names, it is because they are local names. The local names with a national impact. So when i tell you we are talking about justice, i only have one thing to say. Ferguson. [applause] [indistinct chatter] [singing] [singing] [singing] [singing] [singing] [singing] [applause] all standing ovation for this humanity that has come out for justice. [applause] Justice Justice gathered today, sober and of a serious mind and unity, to exercise our godgiven right that is justice. The first in amendment, that says that the Congress Shall make no law prohibiting the peoples right toa Peaceful Assembly and petition the government for grievances. Because thetoday black man of america and the native americans and the Indigenous Peoples and the poor of this nation marched must have justice. Nation, hepunishes a always intervenes in the affairs of that government of that nation, and of that people. And he raises from the oppressed. He raises from the despised. He raises from the poor of that nation a messenger or a profit. 20 years ago, god made the right call at the right time, through the honorable minister louis four a million man march. For a million man march. And a million men answered that call. God was in the call that we all hurt. And not only did a million men answer the call, but it was exceeded by 700,000 men. Alllook from the capitol the way down to 7th street. The press has asked, how many do you expect . I said, success does not depend on numbers. But called god called a million men 20 years ago, and you can see by the crowd that is gathered here today that there canne man in america that make a call and all of us answered that call. It is the honorable minister lewis. He is he is the representative of christ. [applause] and he is the representative of god to this wicked nation. Would be of today you didnt come here to hear a politician. You came here today because this is gods man, and this is gods man demanding justice. Justice from america. And if america refuses to hear gods call through the honorable minister, there will be more joaquins, walking there will be more tornadoes and earthquakes. It is time for america to know that god is present. To the whole world that is watching, to all that are gathered here today, let us receive the only man that can is and what Justice Justice looks like. Please help me to welcome the honorable minister lewis [applause] [cheering] [applause] who has stood for us, who championed the call to freedom, justice, and equality. Who is not afraid to speak the truth that god has put in his mouth to stake. To speak. [indiscernible] a people who are afraid of the enemy when we demand justice. It takes strength and courage. This is the honorable minister. A man given to us by god himself. Theus receive the man of hour, the man of the time. He is the National Representative of the honorable Elijah Mohammed. [applause] please receive 82 years young, and championed the cause of freedom and justice for over 60 years. God has sent us with the honorable minister. [applause] [indistinct chatter] thank you. I hate being behind this glass. Name of the merciful, we give him praise and thanks for phetsf his profits proh and the scriptures with which he brought. With a kim for the for moses we thank him for moses. We thank him for jesus, who gave and the apostles that gave us what is called the new testament. We thank him for for [indiscernible] through whom the last revelation of humanity before this present world, that book is called the holy koran. I am a student of the most honorable Elijah Mohammed, and i could never think thank a lot allah enough for his merciful intervention in our affairs. World, and is championing the liberations struggle of our people, particularly in the United States of america. Dearee to all of you, my and wonderful brothers and sisters. Saidthe greeting words, we in the arabic language [speaking in arabic]. First, i want to say to all of you, i am honored beyond words this here, standing on of this in front , in front of ing dont know how many, im not going to guess, but i think thank Almighty God Allah for every single one of you that decided to answer the call to demand justice or else. Program in my hotel room. Am i want to say how happy i to be a part of such a great showing of unity of the Aboriginal People of our planet. I want our native american brother [indiscernible] night 12. Nightwolf. My brother, im sorry they cut you a little bit short. But i want you to know how favored you are as a native american giant, standing for his people. Came inve people who their native dress, this is not like going to a Football Game with the redskins, they are not here as some mascot. They are here because they are the original owners of this part of the earth, and we honor them with the honor that they are justly due. [applause] minister farrakhan their suffering in their land is very great. So, all of those who cry for thance, no cry is greater those who have suffered the most. And those who have suffered the people, the indigenous , but of theamerica western hemisphere, and those of americaere brought into not as programs pilgrims, not not seeking another way of worship, but in the holds of ships to be made their burden bearers of the real citizens of america. Us to saycritical for that we are citizens. Getwe are still trying to civil rights while at the same time we are denied the human right of selfdetermination. , in honored to be here front of this great, great house. That was built by black slaves. So i dont think i am in coaching encroaching on any american by standing on the for withat was paid the sweat and the blood of our ancestors. I am honored to be here, and am grateful to congressman danny davis for having shepherded through both thats a joint resolution capitols to be on the steps. [applause] i was sofarrakhan by our native brothers and sisters, and our ,ispanic brothers and sisters say,ome who are black may farrakhan, why are you talking to all of these different ethnicities . Position. Accept our sister and those standing with her who championed the call that black lives matter. Her, and happy to see to hear her, and to know and she to know that and black lives matter are welcomed, have a cherish spot cherished spot because they have future leadership. These are not just young people who happen to wake up one morning. Ferguson ignited it all. So all the brothers and sisters from ferguson, all the brothers and sisters that late in the streets, all the brothers and sisters that laid in the streets, all the brothers and sisters that challenged the tanks, we are honored that you have come to represent our struggles and our demands. Again, im grateful for the choir that song sung, and the brothers and sisters that sang. And hismuhammad wonderful song that he wrote about the great liberator emiliano zapata, and to all of you who made this day so far what it is, every member of the ,lergy that prayed this morning the muslims, the christians, the various prayers that were said, the native people who have their andve places, there teepees whats not on the ground, what not on the ground, they are sacred people. And they deserve justice. , in unity, will not only get justice for ourselves, but justice for all those who are deprived of that precious essential of life itself. Thisis data full on beautiful mall, which was a slave Center Hundreds of years ago, right here, down this mall, there used to be slave pens. 12 yearst, the movie of slaves, the black brother was brought here. My left side, youre right side, and a little yellow house where he was severely off tobefore he was sent be a slave unjustly for 12 years. Cry of our ancestors, the pain of those on whose shoulders we stand. I feel that the ancestors are happy, that a young generation has arisen. Faces of the young inline, trying to come in. Line, trying to come in. And they made it. But the young stood in their place until they could get in because that is what we work for. Older, getting and i am speaking now of myself and my generation what good are we if we dont prepare young people to carry the torch of liberation to the next step . [applause] minister farrakhan what good are we if we think we can last forever and not prepare others to walk in our footsteps . Here, the young that are we honor you. We know who you are. Dutye will not forsake our to you. There are some elders who are legacythy to pass on the to our young people. People will not listen america, madein by a america, and want to bow down in america to that which has given them hell. These young people are looking for fearless leadership. But to leadership that cannot be bought. That is willing to sacrifice its life to see a Better Future for our children. Honored that my brother and grandfather is here, who is a great fighter in chicago. Barry is here,at allah fork thank her and her dear departed husband who really showed us the way. For all of you who way to sacrifice in some make a difference. There can be no freedom, no Justice Without the willingness of some. Rest. Rifice for the what good is life if we are not free . Live and is it to be a every day that you live you see your people suffering . Continuings it to be in life under tierney . Ranny . Rney ty so there must be a time when we say enough is enough. It must change. And im willing to do whatever it takes to bring about that change. Allah for the brother vladimiri and brother from the Dominican Republic. Two great brothers that islam thebrought together, but machinations of White Supremacy are trying to keep apart. Haiti and the Dominican Republic used to be called hispanola. And it is the first place that , seticked one, columbus his feet. Tomorrow they say is his birthday. I think it is tomorrow, or the day after. Monday. But no Indigenous People want to andbrate a man who came dislodged them. Newn who came seeking a inte to india and ended up america. The original saw people they saw, well, they must be indians because us white folk dont make mistakes like that. But they are not just indians, nor are we africanamericans. We were here before a continent named africa was named. We were certainly here before americas this part of the name was this part of the world was named after him. So we dont diminish ourselves by naming ourselves after johnnycomelately. We are the Aboriginal People of our planet, and before there was a planet, we were here. With god. In the beginning. Not theman, you are second self of man alone. You are the second self of god. ,nd as the second self of god and a man that would disrespect a female is an enemy of god. Because she is the greatest gift from god to a man. [applause] minister farrakhan may i pause for a moment and say to women your language must change as to how you address yourselves. Call anotherver woman a bitch. [applause] minister farrakhan get that word out of our language. Female is asked to a dog. Every female is up to god. Men that you black like to use such words, pull it out of your tongues before your tongue is pulled out of your head. [applause] every womanrakhan is from the creator. God. Omb is the workshop of man sees a woman, he should bow in honor to her. The native americans can teach us much in the respective women. I have been up on the reservations, i have been to some of their ceremonies. Menthe native people, the treeslood, hanging from and carrying skulls of animals in dirt attached to the flesh of their back in tremendous pain until the flash snaps and blood pours out. The native people do that to pay honor to the woman. , enduring in labor the pain of death to bring forth new life. And there is always a show of blood before the birth, so the man is trying to equal himself to the woman. Means that the native man, who disrespects your female, you have lost your way. And any black man under the sound of our voice, any red man, any yellow man that will traffic women and girls, you are worthy of death itself. [applause] minister farrakhan now, through greatmb of a woman, every one was born. And every no good one was born. [laughter] my dear farrakhan but sisters who are here today, if expecting, i would love for you to place your right hand over your womb. Allah thatto ask every woman who is pregnant, that she would bring her child. O term and i pray that that child will be a worrier warrior for a brandnew world. And that brandnew world will come out of the womb of women with strong man as their protectors. Now, it is your body. You can do with it as you please. But it would be so tragic if the fetus was aborted. It would be tragic if the next malcolm x or much in the decaying or the next moses or abraham or jesus was flushed away. Know who your child is going to be. Wise, your child could be the answer to your prayers. Why do you pray, or others in sisters . Brothers and sisters . You pray that things would be made better. Aunts havecousins or died from cancer. Dont you want to see a cure for such a disease . That cure is not coming out of the sky. That cure is coming from the that may thinke she is not important, but out of that womb, could come the cure of every disease that humankind is suffering from. Circumstancetrange around my birth. And my mother did not wish to carry me to turn term. Days, they didnt have abortion clinics. Women who wanted to abort the new life used hangers. Metal hangers. Times to tried three abort my life. Undere the circumstances which she was pregnant were uncomfortable for her. Face whatdnt want to my being a child lightskinned when the man she was with was dark skinned, and so was she. Tellhe wouldnt be able to him that i was his. So after the first time trying to abort my life, she said, let it be. Prayed foryed and god to come into her life and give her peace and strength in her for what she thought she would have to face. That thoseknow circumstances and her prayers went into what was in her womb. Herdidnt know that insecurity because of a circumstance made her feel secure in the prayers she was sending up to god. And so she gave birth to a child. Child who knew god from an early age. Thatave birth to a child i findn my life did refuge in any man. Protection wasy faith in anded in my superior being. Wonder why is bold . Han so it is because i am free from fear [applause] coulder farrakhan how farrakhan tell the fbi and the cia and the irs to go to hell when others tremble at the names . Deepdont have a name enough to make a man who has ben shown the arm of god to afraid of a man who can never do to me nothing more than what god would have them to do, and if he permits it, i am [indiscernible] even if it is my death. Our problem is there is too much fear among us. Fear is what takes a man and makes him a punk. [applause] minister farrakhan women are sister more strength as eva said earlier. She is the natural protector of what her womb produces. And sisters, you should never than the loveore you have for what you are will produces if that man becomes a violator whats your what womb produces if that man becomes a violator of a child. [applause] minister farrakhan knowing god, not talking god, but to knowing god is what takes fear from your heart. A fearful people cant be free. A fearful people will bow down when it appears that the enemy is so strong and we are so weak. As i was preparing this morning i was thinking about us who are preachers. Psalms. Quote the the lord is my strength, and he is my salvation. Of whom then shall i fear . Of whom then shall i be made afraid . But to then where the energy comes, enemy comes, and challenges his word, we find him weakening, running away, leaving the sheep to be eaten by the wolves. I am thehy jesus said, Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd will lay down his life for the sheep. That isin leadership not willing to give his life for the that supports him and feeds them and close him cl othes him is not worthy of being a leader. Many in Leadership Today are willing to take a little money. Me to see how many of us will sell out the future of our people for a little money that allows us to get an upgrade in our automobiles. Suit. Upgrade in our or shoes. And i ask myself the question corruptible put on incorruptible . Anause all corruption is enemy of the progress of man. All corruption. All deviation from honesty and integrity. , mycan say, well, farrakhan god, what are you saying . God saying that if you love , with all your heart, soul, love and strength, and your brother as yourself, nobody could give you enough money to make you betray yourself as well as your brother or sister. [applause] minister farrakhan when i first started rebuilding the nation of chicago, a man came to me and said, farrakhan, everybody has got a price. Who he had met. Knew hadybody that he a price. Well, this man dont have a friend. Nowhere. Because a friend will never betray his friend. Many in this audience have been called by the government authorities and told to lie . Because they wanted a certain person. And if you lied, they would make it easier for you and your sentence. Out toy of us have sold get a lighter sentence . And major brother, who was innocent, a victim of the Justice System that is unjust by telling lies. I am talking to you like this. I have some notes that i put down, but i havent opened it. Not a day,s is 101015. Hell no. Outhis is a day and we come going back to doing what we were doing before we got here, then this is all vanity. This is vanity. Is the work of someone whos wrapped up in himself. Famede no time for expression. Those whom the world honors are those who live for others and in their death, they are never dead. There is always someone coming up to refer to their greatness others, they lived for and they are living their living was not in vain. Why am i saying that at this point . We are facing another election. The republicans have, i dont know how many, is it 17 . Well, it was. Really like the ,retty girl who is well formed so that some men with many will buy her some with money will buy her. Who wants to be a horror wh ore . No, no, no. Listen to me. Do you think people with money put their money behind you if they dont expect something from you . Thats what makes this a problem. 3. 3 billion in the last few years have been paid by lobbyists to this house. For . Are they lobbying laws that may not be in the best interest of the people. How then can you look in the areor at yourself when you bought and paid for whores . Then what do you get for being a whore . John Fitzgerald Kennedy lies across the water in the beautiful grave with an eternal flame. Kennedy hadzgerald a beautiful home. He had boats, he had so much material wealth. End is the same. Spot in a little coffin, and six feet of dirt. I into the world, and naked geoeye out go i out. So why are you lying and cheating and stealing to give something to your children . Who if you lied and cheated and stole to get what you got, you couldnt teach them values. So all that you left is squandered by ignorant children. Dont you think it would be king . To be like dr. He didnt have a lot of money. He could have if he were a sellout. Malcolm didnt have a lot of money. He could have. Wealth to dont amass the two children. Leaveones amass wealth to for institutions that live after they are dead and gone. The grave is waiting for everyone of us that are gathered here today. Why are you saying this, farrakhan . Because this is not a moment, as my sister said. This is a movement. Im going to say it again. This is not a moment. This is a movement. When the brothers and sisters arose in ferguson, you didnt have any money. You had a principal. A principal that you are willing to suffer for, that you felt was bigger than yourself and your life. And the withstanding of pain. Enemyl of a sudden, the comes with money. This, will you come out of the streets . Us we are all that but some of us see as an opportunity. ,o the movement begins to die those who leave the movement lead the movement take a money a a bribe to stop hurting force that you are coming against. The demand for justice demands integrity. Demandsnd for justice selflessness. Justice is bigger than all our lives. So, the demand for justice must give us that will to sacrifice
