Felicity Passon, Hayden Ah-Wan win highest Fina points
Reigning female swimmer and Sportswoman of the Year Felicity Passon and male swimmer Hayden Ah-Wan both produced the highlights of the National Open Swimming Championships which took place at Roche Caiman Swimming Pool last week to claim the highest International Swimming Federation cup.
A member of the Mahé Skimmers Sports Club, Passon won 722 International Swimming Federation (Fina) points after completing the 100m freestyle race in 57.64 seconds, while Ah-Wan won the highest Fina points – 665 – for his new record in the 50m butterfly in 25.51 seconds, erasing the old record of Mathieu Bachmann set at the Cana Zone IV this year.
