Yuri Ambrazevich pointed out that unilateral coercive measures or sanctions, which are introduced by Western countries against undesirable states, including Belarus, represent a serious challenge on the way to reaching the Sustainable Development Goals.
“The anniversary session of the Commission is taking place amidst the worst global security crisis since the end of World War II. The future of multilateral cooperation under the auspices of the UN and the role of the organization itself have been called into question. UNECE has also faced politicization challenges,” the deputy minister said.
The parties discussed international and regional security issues in the context of the armed conflict in Ukraine and its impact on global sustainable development.
