Union Minister of State attends review meet on Central schemes in Manipur

IMPHAL: Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs, Kaushal Kishore on Wednesday chaired a review meeting of various central schemes taken up in Manipur including the Imphal smart city and PM’s housing for all scheme. The meeting, which was held at the City Convention Centre in Imphal, was attended by state’s Municipal Administration Housing and Urban Development minister Yumnam Khemchand, Commissioner (MAHUD) M Joy and Chief Town Planner (in-charge)N Benju and other officials. Earlier in the morning, Kaushal Kishore also had a discussion on the implementation of the government schemes and projects with the state Chief Minister N Biren Singh at the latter’s secretariat in Imphal. Teresa N Varte, a BA first year student from Rayburn College Teresa who is a resident of Churachandpur’s Renkai locality went home richer with a cheque of INR 1 lakh and gift hampers by Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Yumnam Khemchand.
