No matter your favorite cuisine, Las Vegas does it very well

Las Vegas Magazine Peter Harasty By Brock Radke May 13, 2021 Everyone knows Las Vegas offers practically every type of cuisine imaginable, but there are some styles that the city really does well. And some of the destination’s strengths are a little more under-the-radar. Japanese food is a terrific example. Over the last decade, Las Vegas has arguably become one of the best places in the world beyond Japan to experience the different dishes and time-honored techniques that make up this refined genre of food and dining, and this exciting evolution has produced just as many entries in local neighborhoods as it has on the Las Vegas Strip.

Coronavirus vaccines are like tequila in this town: everybody wants a shot. The sooner we fight off the pandemic, the sooner we get back to what Vegas is all about having fun. Under the guidance of Nevada and Clark Country, Las Vegas is slowly easing up on social distancing with a plan in place to be 100% open by June 1. That means the return of shows, restaurants, bars, and casinos as we used to know em, adding up to a wild, crazy summer on and off the Strip. Just keep in mind masks are still required in public spaces until further notice. Enjoy your summer, but use your brain. Be safe and don t take any unnecessary chances. We ve come a long way and there s a lot of cool stuff to do over the next few months.

Dirt Dog plans expand to Sunrise - Eater Vegas

Promising to be “coming soon” and already asking local fans where it should expand to next, Los Angeles-born Dirt Dog is preparing to debut its third Las Vegas outpost in Sunrise. Four years since it launched in the southwest at the Rainbow-Shelbourne Plaza, followed by the debut of a walk-up counter at the Strip’s Grand Bazaar Shops back in 2017, the new location moves into a retail center at 5105 E. Sahara Avenue, close to the intersection with Nellis Boulevard. Specializing in a creative menu of Nathan’s hot dogs, served L.A. street-food-style and stacked with toppings, the expanded options now include elote, chili, and pastrami fries, carne asada tacos, corn on a stick, plus deep fried Twinkies and horchata ice cream.
