Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine who recently lost in the Uganda presidential election on January 14th, was not convinced about his performance and believes was robbed of the vote. He has thus sought the intervention of the country’s supreme court to determine the truth about this election.
On February 1, Mr Kyagulanyi filed an election petition in the Uganda Supreme Court challenging the election results. The respondents include Mr. Yoweri Museveni Tibuhaburwa Kaguta, The Electoral Commission and the Attorney General.
According to the poll results, Mr Museveni 76-year-old won almost 59% of the vote, with 38-year-old Bobi Wine trailing with about 35%, the Electoral Commission said.
