Out tonight about a Camden County teenagers plan to mount attack on the pope. This is not something that people should be alarmed about. Reporter those words from commissioner Charles Ramsay tuesday as authorities down played the arrest of a 15yearold south jersey boy for plotting to attack the pope during his visit here next week. I was made aware by the fbi over a month ago that there was an investigation they had in south jersey. I didnt think much of it because there was no follow up conversation around it. Reporter federal authorities described the teenagers plot as aspiration al but noted the teen was allegedly inspired by isis and speaking about explosives and weapons on the internet and social media. Dont take threats seriously. We take threats seriously. It does not mean they shouldnt investigate these things. They d its a good thing they d you never know. You never know. I do think with all the things going on around the popes visit, everybody is kind of looking for that one little nugget of something that would kind of make this story something more than just the pope comes to america. And i dont think this is it. I mean thats the world were in right now. Social media has no noose boundaries in terms of geography now. So we have to be very vigilant in that rash. But, again, you know, we monitor that. Its monitored at the state level. Its monitored at the federal level and there is followup and follow through on these things if something comes to our attention.
