that. right. but the thing about her that made her special and made her a queen, and a lot of singers don t understand this, she knew music. she knew what key she was singing in. she knew what chord you were playing. she could tell you what to play. she was an intellectual. she knew about different topics, opera, musical terminology. she was a perfectionist, and she worked very hard so nurture her craft, and she truly deserved the title of being the queen of soul. you negotiatiknow, i ve seen written many times that she couldn t read music, that she was a true natural. you re saying, of course, and we heard in her songs that didn t mean much. right, but she could read a little bit. she was not ill literal. no, she could read some. i don t know where they got that from.
not a republican on the bench? well, chris, i m confident because having worked with judge kavanaugh day in, day out for over a year, i know that he s very independent and very firm minded. he s never going to prejudge an issue based on who the parties to the case are. he has certain core commitments that he applies in every case. those commitments have led him to roll for a lot of different parties, whether they re criminal defendants or corporations. in every case that comes before him on the court, he s going to take a hard look at the facts of that case, what the law says, and try very hard to come up with the best answer as he sees the law. you ever hear him talk about being on the supreme court? no, no, i didn t. i don t think this is something that he planned for or expected. he really is just a very down to earth guy. when we re outside of chambers, it s not the law we talk about. it s the nationals, how they re doing in the baseball season or other sports. just tv shows
president s top lawyer who resigned just a week or so ago. that s a good point. we haven t had an exit interview from him. no, no. and we probably won t. attorney/client privilege. but you have to believe that the president s tweets clearly complicated his job and made it much more difficult to deal with all the issues. and remember, the president has a depleted legal team right now. he can t hire the top-flight lawyers that he s tried to hire. you negotiatiknow, he s down toy an assistant at this point, as well as ty cobb. but this is not the kind of legal fire power you would want when you re up against a major criminal investigation into your campaign and the operations of your white house. michael, i ve noticed every time mueller fades from the head lines for a week or there aren t
they re on the ascendancy. portugal is on their back feet. they re going to be angry, but they re vulnerable. rafi actually did decide to join us at the table because he is a football madman. so get involved. you negotiatiknow, i m brazilian-american, so i d be in trouble if i weren t into soccer, or football. nick, what do you think the u.s. interest is in the world cup? how do you rank it compared to previous world cups? are we really feeling it this year? oh, yeah. it s an all-time high. i think the love affair with the u.s. men s national team started in 2010. they had a heroic and heartbreaking performance. i think a lot of people got hooked on the games. they saw how dramatic it could be and saw how tough and competitive the u.s. was on the world stage. since then, the u.s. audience only continued to grow. there s more access to games. there s more matches on television. there s more people connecting through the internet and social media. we have the best team we ve ever f
