Hyderabad, Feb 10 (PTI): The Honorary Consulate of
Kazakhstan was opened here on Wednesday. Ambassador of Kazakhstan to India
Yerlan Alimbayev,speaking on the occasion, expressed
confidence that the opening of the Consulate would deepen
bilateral trade, economic and cultural ties between the two
countries. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the function,
Alimbayev said Kazakhstan is India s main trade economic

Kazakhstan Ambassador, NMDC discuss collaboration

× Ambassador of Kazakhstan to India Yerlan Alimbayev discussed collaboration opportunities in mining during his visit to NMDC today.
At the iron ore mining navaratna public sector company, he met with Sumit Deb, CMD, NMDC, Amitava Mukherjee, Director (Finance), and Somnath Nandi, Director (Technical) and discussed ways to leverage NMDC’s capabilities to strengthen the Kazakh mining industry, including strengthening partnership, according to a NMDC statement.
Kazakhstan is one of the 10 leading countries in the world for mineral reserves. It is currently the world’s leading producer of uranium, and possesses vast reserves of chrome, copper, manganese, iron, lead, and zinc, according to official estimates.
Around 3000 foreign diplomats and their eligible family members based out of India have sent names for New Delhi's offer for vaccination against COVID. India had offered vaccination using India-manufactured covid vaccine to diplomats based in the country both in the national capital Delhi and various consulates across the country. Around 115 missions and 39 international organizations responded to the Indian offer and a final call will be soon taken on when the vaccination starts.
Kazakhstan opens consulate in Hyderabad to strengthen ties

Opening the Consulate of Kazakhstan in Hyderabad, the Ambassador Yerlan Alimbayev stressed the symbolism of expanding the circle of Kazakh friends in India in the 30th Anniversary of it s Independence and the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Ambassador in a statement said, “Kazakhstan is the biggest supplier of uranium to India. In the last ten years, we supplied 9000 tons of uranium and the new contract is under consideration, probably before the President’s visit we will have this contract signed.”
Alimbayev opened the Hall of Kazakh Literature at Nizam Club India, one of the oldest clubs founded in 1884. Books and printed publications about Kazakhstan, culture and history of the country in English and Hindi are displayed in the hall.
