Over 1,000 people shared their vision for Wetaskiwin as the results of Wetaskiwinâs 50-Year Community Vision were released last week.
The #Wetaskiwin2070 community visioning initiative was undertaken between September 2020 and February 2021 and included feedback from roughly 1,150 people â comprising almost 10 per cent of the cityâs entire population.

âI am so encouraged to see the number of people in our community who took part in helping shape our future,â stated Mayor Tyler Gandam. âWithout this vision of where we would like to be in 50 years, itâs hard to know what we need to do today to get us there. As we work together in our City, we will build a community weâre proud to call home.â
