7 Civilians, 2 ANA Soldiers Killed in Faryab, Khost
At least seven civilians and two army soldiers were killed in two separate incidents in the northern province of Faryab and the eastern province of Khost on Tuesday, local officials confirmed.
Three civilians were killed and 10 more people, including five civilians, were wounded in a car bomb explosion in Dawlat Abad district in Faryab province, the provincial police spokesman Abdul Karim Yurish said.
The explosion happened on Monday night, Yurish said, adding that it was carried out by the Taliban.
The explosion has caused “heavy financial losses” to residents by damaging their houses, the spokesman said.
SWABI: Two people were killed and three injured when rival groups clashed over a children’s fight in Razaar tehsil here on Sunday.
Officials said the incident occurred in Yaqubi village which falls in the limits of Chota Lahor police station. Both the deceased and the injured belonged to one family.
The deceased were identified as Hashmat Khan and Kamran Khan and injured Sayed Aftab, Izhar Khan and an unidentified person.
The injured were taken to the Kalu Khan Hospital, wherefrom they were referred to a hospital in Mardan due to their critical condition.
The Kalu Khan police after registering FIR arrested two accused persons, including Sadiq Khan and Wajid Khan.
