MP Kaido Höövelson has not ruled out the possibility of becoming the Center Party's lead candidate in Ida-Viru County. "Anything is possible. Höövelson said, it will become clear once Center's executive board confirms its list of candidates.
Center Party MEP Yana Toom said, that although the Center Party asked her to stand in Ida-Viru County for the upcoming Riigikogu elections, she has decided not to do so and will most probably run in Tallinn instead. Toom also admitted, that she would no longer be opposed to a potential joint government comprised of Center and EKRE.
The current poor rating the Center Party has picked up in more than one political party poll recently is the result of a lack of information which has cause many to consider Center to still be in office as a governmental party, Center's MEP, Yana Toom, says.
Aleksei Jevgrafov, former mayor of Narva and member of Reform during the early 2000s, is in talks about standing as a candidate for the Center Party in the upcoming Riigikogu elections.
