She received various offers for digital projects, but she turned them down out of fear. However, she has decided to start working in India now and doesn’t want to let politics get in the way.
“But I was scared and I have no shame in admitting it. Now I am a bit more like, ‘No, come on
yaar, you can’t let something that happened, which was political, affect your choices.’ So I don’t think I will do that anymore and I hope that we collaborate, even if it’s on digital or in any way.”

Zee Theatre announces ‘Yaar Julahay,’ a series of dramatic readings featuring stories by writers from the subcontinent
Since its inception in 2015, Zee Theatre has been at the forefront of curating and screening dramatic masterpieces for a global audience. The pioneering platform now announces ‘Yaar Julahay, a series of dramatic readings spread across 12 engrossing episodes on their partner DTH platforms – Tatasky Theatre, Airtel Spotlight, Dish TV, and D2h Rangmanch Active. The name of the series is inspired by a Gulzar poem and pays tribute to writers who craft stories with the deftness of master weavers. The first episode featuring Mahira Khan will air on May 15, 2021, at Tata Sky Theatre at 2 pm and 8 pm. Mahira will be reading Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi s classic story, Guriya.

New Delhi, May 7 : Yaar Julahay , an upcoming series of dramatic readings of writers who craft stories with the deftness of master weavers, is all set to premier on May 15, with the debut episode featuring Pakistani actress Mahira Khan reading Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi s classic story, Guriya .
