The Xavier Musketeers and Seton Hall Pirates return to action Wednesday evening in Cincinnati following the holiday break.
Seton Hall brings a 6-4 record into the contest, going 3-1 in Big East play. Xavier, on the other hand, comes into the game at 8-1, and 1-1 in Big East play.
The game will be a showdown between two of the Big East’s best big men, as Seton Hall’s Sandro Mamukelashvili and Xavier’s Zach Freemantle are the conference’s two leading-scoring forwards at 18.2 and 16.3 points per game, respectively.
The Musketeers and Pirates have split their matchups in each of the past two seasons, as the teams always seem to be quite evenly matched. This game doesn’t seem like it will be too much different, with KenPom projecting a 73-71 victory.
