MERIDEN Two city residents were arrested last week after they were caught driving around with a gun that matched the weapon used in a nearby shooting, police said.
Officers responded to Stoneycrest Drive around 9:20 p.m. Dec. 17 for a call about multiple gunshots fired in the area.
Arriving officers canvassed the area and spoke to residents who said they heard the gunshots, police said.
“As officers were out checking the surrounding area, they observed a vehicle traveling at an unusually slow rate of speed,” police said.
