This year was the first that Wyoming Reads Day was recognized as an official state holiday after Governor Mark Gordon signed a bill in this year s legislative session.
Giving every first grade student in the state their own book adds up, as the Wyoming Reads literacy program has given more than 100,000 books over 25 years.
