On Wednesday, the Natrona County Library celebrated and honored Betty Ouderkirk, Wilma Bovie, Kevin Anderson and other friends on the 50th Anniversary of the 'Friends of the Natrona County Library' Book Sale.
Virtual concert Friday
The Wyoming Symphony Orchestra and First Interstate Bank are sponsoring a free Holiday Spectacular virtually, featuring Casper area artists at 7:30 p.m., on Friday.
The premiere is 7:30 p.m., on Friday, Dec. 18 and features performances from organizations and individuals including Matt Stairs, Susan Stubson and Emily and Dan Quintana of Opera Wyoming. Those who enjoy the performance are asked to make an event donation which will benefit the arts organizations that have brought so much joy to Casper for so many years
A wide range of performers will be featured as a part of this special event including Opera Wyoming, Artcore, Wyoming Dance Arts, Casper Collegeâs Choir and Chamber Orchestra, the Oil City Slickers, Wyoming Symphony Orchestra s Wind and Brass Ensembles, and more.
Fort Caspar Museum announced that from now until Nov. 6, 2021, they are presenting a new exhibit that focuses on the vast history of Casper, using the ABC’s as a guide.
“The A, B, C;’s of Casper History” is an exhibit that displays items taken from the history of Casper itself. A wide array of the people, places, and things that make Casper great will be on display, showcasing rarely seen objects from the museum’s own collection. This exhibit is designed to teach kids and adults alike interesting facts about Casper through an alphabet of objects.
The exhibit was organized by the staff of Fort Caspar, and it utilizes all 26 letters of the alphabet as a starting point to tell their story.
