今年3月的一个下午，被告王某搭乘950路公交车。上车过程中有另一位男乘客，因未佩戴口罩，驾驶员劝阻。男乘客下车买口罩后，男乘客妻子挡住车门，不让驾驶员驶离，双方发生争吵。
随后，男乘客赶回、并佩戴口罩上车，公交车重新行驶，而驾驶员与其妻子仍在持续争吵。此时，坐在驾驶员后方侧座的王某，因不满驾驶员语气态度，也加入了争吵。
没吵几句，王某就离座走向驾驶位，拉拽方向盘，驾驶员随即刹停车辆，幸而没有造成人员车辆损伤的严重后果。车辆刹停后，王某摆脱上前劝阻的乘客，继续用拳挥打驾驶员头部，驾驶员报警，王某逃逸。
检察机关认为，被告王某在行驶中的公交车内抢控驾驶操纵装置，干扰公交车正常行驶，危机公共安全，应以《刑法修正案（十一）》新增罪名，妨害安全驾驶罪追究刑事�
